Diwali Wishes

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Diwali Wishes ("we", "us") handles information when you use diwaliwishes.xyz (the "Website").

1. Information we collect

  • Greeting cards: when you share a card, we store the message, the names you typed and the chosen design so the link can display your card.
  • Donation confirmations: when you confirm a donation we collect your name, the amount, your UPI transaction reference (UTR), and optionally your email address, phone number and a message. We use this to verify and record your donation and to contact you about it. After we verify a donation, your first name and the amount may be shown publicly in short “donated” notifications on this website, unless you tick “Don't show my name publicly”, in which case it is shown as “Someone”. Your full name, contact details, UTR and message are never shown publicly.
  • Contact form: your name, email address and message.
  • Basic analytics: the page visited, the referring website's domain and your device type (mobile, tablet or desktop). Our application does not store your IP address for analytics. Like most websites, our web server may keep short-term technical logs (including IP addresses) for security and troubleshooting. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, we do not record analytics for your visit.

2. Payments

Donations are paid directly through your own UPI app to our BharatPe UPI account. We never see or store your UPI PIN, bank details or card details.

3. Advertising and cookies

Some pages show advertisements from third-party networks (such as Monetag or Adsterra) or from businesses that advertise with us directly. Third-party ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads, according to their own privacy policies. We do not show advertising on the donation page. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

4. How we use information

  • To provide the greeting card and share-link features
  • To verify donations and keep accurate donation records
  • To reply to your messages
  • To understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful and improve the Website

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data storage

Data is stored in a database on our own server. We take reasonable measures to protect it, and only authorised administrators can access donation records and messages.

6. Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information you have provided by contacting us through our contact page. We may need to retain donation records where required by law.

7. Children

The Website is intended for a general audience. Children should use it with the guidance of a parent or guardian.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
